An ECR based High Current lnjector (HCl) has been planned to inject highly charged ions into existing LINAC. The HCI consists of an high temperature superconducting ECR source (PKDELIS) followed by an RFQ and DTL. The energy of the beam at exit of DTL is 1.8 MeV/u which is transported to the LINAC in BH-|. The talk gives an overview ofthe HCI programme with a detail description of beam transport system (BTS). The BTS has three sections: LEBT, MEBT and HEBT. Detail beam optics will be presented ìn the talk.
