LABORATORI NAZIONALI DI LEGNARO
The RISING (Rare Isotope INvestigation at GSI) project started in fall 2003. The physics aspects within the RISING project and the actual set-up consisting of the FRS, particle identification/tracking detectors, the CAlorimeter TElescope (CATE), the gamma array HECTOR and the RISING Ge Cluster array will be presented. The latest results from the experiments in 2003/2004 covering relativistic Coulomb excitation and fragmentation of exotic secondary beams will be shown. Future perspectives are given.
