LNL: OLIVER WIELAND, THE GDR IN CE NUCLEI AT HIGH EXCITATION ENERGY

The measured properties of the Giant Dipole Resonance in hot rotating nuclei are successfully described with the model of Thermal Fluctuations, even though there are still some open problems especially at very low (T<1.2MeV) and at very high (T>1.2 MeV) temperatures. recent measurements have been performed using symmetric and asymmetric mass entrance channel to form 132Ce at different excitation energies. Some preliminary results will be discussed.
