LNL: CLAUDIO DORSO, DYNAMICS AND THERMODYNAMICS OF EXCITED DROPS

In this talk we present results regarding the dynamical evolution of constrained and unconstrained higly excited Lennard Jones drops. We describe the fragmentation process in phase space (fragment formation) and in configurational space (fragment emission). We explore the thermodynamical properties of both constrained and unconstrained systems via the calculation of the Caloric Curve, which displys the appearance of negative thermal response functions. We pay special attention to the absence of a “vapor branch' in the Caloric Curve of unconstrained systems. We show that the presence of a collective motion enhances the fluctuations of the kinetic energy
