LNL: KAZUYUKI SEKIZAWA, TIME-DEPENDENT HARTREE-FOCK CALCULATIONS FOR MULTINUCLEON TRANSFER PROCESSES
LABORATORI NAZIONALI DI LEGNARO
Multinucleon transfer reaction has been attracting much interests not only for curiosity on its mechanisms as a non-equilibrium quantum transport phenomenon but also as a new means to produce unstable nuclei whose production is difficult by other methods. To get microscopic understanding on the reaction mechanisms and to predict preferable conditions to produce objective nuclei, we have been studying multinucleon transfer processes in heavy-ion collisions using a microscopic framework of the time-dependent Hartree-Fock (TDHF) theory. As a first step, we have studied multinucleon transfer processes in several systems for which extensive measurements are available [1]. In this seminar, I will explain our method based on the TDHF theory to describe multinucleon transfer processes and present representative results of our calculations to show how the TDHF works. I also mention how to treat particle evaporation effects and our recent attempts to describe massively nucleon transfer in the quasi-fission processes in heavier systems, e.g. 136Xe+198Pt.
