STEFAN SCHEFER University of Zurich:
Our ability to simulate QCD on the lattice has improved significantly over the last years.
This is mainly due to conceptual advances in the algorithms and our understanding of
QCD. I will review the physics ideas behind current lattice simulations. The ongoing
CLS simulations with dynamical up, down and strange quarks will serve as an example of
what can be currently achieved and where future improvements are needed.
