ANTONIO AMARITI, Ecole Normale Superieure, Paris: Infrared dualities in 4D and 3D supersynunetric gauge theories share many similarities. It is natural wonder if and how the lower dimensional case can be derived from the higher dimensional one. This relation has been recently understood in field theory. Nevertheless, different prescriptions have been necessary for the analysis of different cases. In this talk I show that the physical origin of this distinctions becomes evident once this reduction is engineered in the brane picture.
