The brief summary of nuclear non-proliferation actions taken in Uzbekistan in last years is given. These actions include, in particular, the upgrading physical protection systems of nuclear reactors and powerful radioactive sources, conversion of 10 MW research reactor to low (19.6%) enrichment fuel, sending back to country-origin of highly enriched spent fuel from research reactor, inventory and storage of radioactive sources, creation of detection systems for border control, the systematic radiation control of environment, including air, water and plants, creation of modern stationary and mobile analytic centers. We also discuss the extended non-proliferation problems in the whole Central Asia region.
