RM1: UNDERSTANDING THE STRUCTURE OF THE NUCLEON
SEZIONE DI ROMA I
Understanding the emergence of the nucleon structures in terms of QCD degrees of freedom, i.e. quarks and gluons, is one of the major challenges of hadron physics. Two main types of non-perturbative techniques have been developed to tackle this challenge, discretised ones using large computer simulations, and continuum ones relying on Dyson-Schwinger equations (DSEs). Both techniques can be used in order to compute local matrix elements related to the 3D structures of the Nucleon through for instance Generalised Parton Distributions (GPDs) and Distributions Amplitudes (DAs). In this talk, we will emphasise how DSEs can help us to understand the dynamical mechanism behind both the nucleon DAs and GPDs and use the former to examplify the consequences of dynamically generated degrees of freedom.
